Casa Espresso Coffee Roasters in Shipley is celebrating after it won another Great Taste award.
The business was included in the Great Taste winners of 2020 and fought off competition from 106 different countries.
The Charlestown & Unione Espresso Blends won the award - making it the fourth consecutive year that the Charlestown has been selected.
As well as the latter accolades, its Decaf Colombia Popayan Reserve has also been awarded the even more prestigious 2 Star award.
Nino Di Rienzo, director of Casa Espresso, said: "The Great Taste logo has added value to our
business in terms of credibility, opening doors to new retailers, and ultimately increasing sales. This was the first time we have entered the Decaf to the competition, and we are blown away with the results and the judge’s feedback."
12,777 products were judged by 144 of the most discerning palates, belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, restaurateurs, buyers, retailers and producers, as well as food writers and journalists.
Judges described it as having “An impressive nose, giving up notes of cherries, almonds and citrus".
The Judges added: "There was a clean, bright acidity and an explosion of dried fruits, sour cherries and toasted nuts, creating a really expressive coffee with lots of character.
"A lovely coffee with a unique flavour profile and a truly delicious overall taste."
