LATEST UPDATE: One new coronavirus death reported at hospitals in Bradford district
ONE further Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported today in Bradford.
According to the latest NHS figures, one further death was recorded by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on January 6.
It means the total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district, according to the latest NHS figures, now stands at 655 - 465 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 188 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust had one death and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust had 11 deaths.
Nationally, a further 715 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 54,445.
Patients were aged between 30 and 101 years old. All except 23 (aged 45 to 99 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
Date of death ranges from December 15, 2020 to January 7, 2021 with the majority being on or after January 5, 2021.
Their families have been informed.
The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.
NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.
"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
