ARE you a budding fashion designer?
Bradford School of Art at Bradford College has launched a competition to design an outfit inspired by 'home'.
The winning design will be professionally pattern cut, made by Bradford College students and showcased in the college's graduate fashion show.
BA (Hons) Fashion Programme leader Angela Loftus said: “You may wish to focus upon your favourite room, a particular memory from your childhood home, your most treasured item that’s kept within it or even the place or country that you or your family call home.
"Alternatively, you may wish to look at creatures that carry their homes on their backs or the longing for a home by those who no longer have one. The possibilities are endless!”
There are under-16s and 16-plus categories and the competition is promoted at The Broadway shopping centre where a display of garments created by fashion students is displayed in shop windows. Visit bradfordcollege.ac.uk/school-of-art-fashion-competition
* To take part in the competition, upload a high-resolution A4-sized pdf or Jpeg of your design and email it to FashionCompetition@bradfordcollege.ac.uk.
Entries can also be submitted at bradfordcollege.ac.uk/school-of-art-fashion-competition/.
The deadline is Monday, February 8 and the winner will be announced on February 22.
