OVER 50 hampers were delivered to children in care, homeless people, refugees and the elderly in Girlington over the festive period, with the help of not-for-profit organisation Dream Big, Aim High.
Councillor Fozia Shaheen, of the Toller ward, worked closely with the Girlington Centre as part of the project.
She said: “I thank everyone who donated gifts and everyone who volunteered. People who have received the hampers have been absolutely delighted to have such a lovely surprise.
“Christmas can be a very stressful and difficult time for families and individuals. It’s been a team effort and shows how the Girlington community comes together to help others.
"As a Bradfordian, I couldn’t be prouder to see how all our communities and businesses can pull together to ensure everyone is remembered during the Christmas festivities".
