A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of growing cannabis after a house fire this afternoon.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) was called to reports of a fire in a property on Summer Hill Street, in the Lidget Green area of Bradford, at around 1.26pm today.
Three fire engines - one each from Illingworth, Cleckheaton and Stanningley - rushed to the scene to tackle the blaze.
Police were also at the scene.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "A man has been arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis."
Fire crews used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus while tackling the fire.
A WYFRS spokesperson said: "Noone was injured and the fire did not spread."
The three fire engines left at around 3.22pm.
An onlooker said there were "huge traffic delays" on Beckside Road, while crews were tackling the blaze.
