THERE have been four more COVID-19-related deaths reported by hospitals in the Bradford district today, according to the latest NHS England figures.
Three of the deaths were reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with two reported to have happened on 31 December and one reported to have happened yesterday.
One death was reported by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, and was reported to have taken place on 31 December.
It means the total number of COVID-19-related hospital deaths in the Bradford district, according to NHS England, now stands at 646 - 459 of those have been reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 185 by Airedale and two by Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Nationally, a further 383 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, NHS England says, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 51,051.
The patients were aged between 27 and 100 years old. All except 11 of them, who were aged between 36 and 95-years-old, had known underlying health conditions.
The majority of deaths took place at hospitals in London (81), followed by hospitals in the Midlands (77), the East of England (74), the South East (66), the North East & Yorkshire (46), the South West (23) and the North West (16).
The families of all patients have been informed, NHS England says.
