WEST Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Mark Burns-Williamson is set to host an online meeting to consult with seniors about their priorities.
The meeting is due to be held at 4pm on Thursday, January 7 using Microsoft Teams. To request to join the meeting please email consultation@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk by Tuesday, January 5, 2021. The event has been arranged to ensure older people can have their say on policing and community safety.
Mark Burns-Williamson, said: “Regularly engaging with the public and communities is one of my key roles so am I very pleased to open up this invite to older people.
“We know lots of older people are more isolated at the moment so it’s important that we offer extra avenues for them, ensuring that they are consulted and included in decision making. It’s a shame we can’t do this in person but for obvious reasons this first meeting will have to be undertaken online, with everyone’s safety being paramount.
“I recognise the value of the voice of seniors/elders so I am very much looking forward to hearing what they have to say.
“For anyone unable to join online please do contact my office via phone 01924 29400 or email to offer your views.”
