An informal event will be held to allow people to discuss how different religious groups in the district celebrate their faith's festivals.

Bradford District Faiths Forum is hosting the event at Habib's Restaurant, Killinghall Road, Barkerend, at 6.30pm on Wednesday.

The forum will involve a discussion on how understanding between communities can be developed.

Speakers from a number of faiths within the district will present their own perspective on faith festivals, while there will be ample opportunity for people to ask questions.

Nasar Fiaz, development co-ordinator of the Faiths Forum, said: "Every faith has its festivals, which people celebrate in the traditional manner. However, our meeting will identify some of the remarkable similarities between them."

Admission is free and places can be booked by calling the Faiths Forum on (01274) 395398 or by e-mailing bradford. faiths@btconnect.com.
