Only five of the scheduled West Riding County Amateur League matches survived the weekend rain.

The most significant outcome of these saw Wibsey Reserves and Hall Green United Reserves exchange places at the foot of DIVISION TWO.

Hall Green had occupied last place but a 5-0 win enabled them to leapfrog their visiting opponents.

Wayne Leadbetter and Wayne Crossley scored two goals apiece, with Mark Johnson completing a n emphatic success for the Wakefield side.

The section's only other fixture to escape the weather saw Morley Town and Campion Reserves share the points after a 1-1 draw.

Mark Earnshaw was on target for Morley, while a penalty converted by Suzumile White provided Campion's reply.

Two mid-table PREMIER DIVISION games were also played and Ardsley Celtic took advantage to see off Halifax Irish 4-1.

David Stent scored twice in the first half before Wayne Crossley pulled one back for Irish.

Late goals by David Catteroche and Neil Davis then wrapped up the points as Ardsley ended a run of three successive league and cup defeats.

Andrew Allison's goal gave Golcar United the advantage at Hemsworth MW but a Paul Banton penalty made the final score 1-1.

Struggling duo Rawdon Old Boys and Wakefield City shared six goals in the only RESERVE DIVISION game to be played.

Ben Whitfield, Tom Whitfield and Joe Tordoff netted for hosts Rawdon but Rob Soare's hat-trick earned Wakefield a point.
