A FORMER court building in the heart of Keighley has failed to sell at a property auction.
Keighley County Court, based on North Street in the town centre, shut in 2012 after 180 years of existence.
Numerous proposals for the building’s future fell through, and the building was listed at a Pugh Property Auction on Wednesday.
It had a guide price of £150,000.
Otley Civic Centre sells at auction for £600,000 - more than four times the guide price
However, by the time the online auction came to an end, the property was still unsold, having failed to attract any significant interest.
The auction listing described the building, which still has some of its court fittings, as: “A former Courthouse premises extending to approximately 389 sq m (4,187 sq ft), with private secure car parking.
“The building offers a variety of potential multi uses and may suit redevelopment.”
