OTLEY Civic Centre has been sold at auction for £600,000.
Owners Leeds City Council had put the long empty Grade II Listed property on the market as part of its efforts to plug a multi-million budget deficit for next year.
The 24 hour online auction by Pugh Property had the building listed with a guide price of just £135,000, ended on Wednesday.
It ended up selling for more than four times the guide price.
Details of the buyer has not yet been disclosed.
