The Lord Mayor of Bradford has praised the district's residents for giving "magnificent" backing to this year's Christmas Stars Appeal.
The appeal gave people the opportunity to pay tribute to, and celebrate, a special person, all while supporting charity.
In exchange for a £5 donation, people could have the name of a loved one glimmering in the Broadway Shopping Centre Christmas tree throughout the festive period.
The Lord Mayor, Councillor Doreen Lee, said “I am delighted that, even in these difficult times, Bradford people have supported my Christmas Stars Appeal so magnificently. The tree in The Broadway looks wonderful and I am very grateful for the centre’s support. I am sure people will be thrilled to see their stars on it and I hope that the Christmas Stars continue to go from strength to strength.”
Ian Ward, general manager at The Broadway, said: “The Broadway is delighted to be involved in the 2020 Christmas Star Appeal - it is a fantastic incentive that benefits two really worthwhile charities.
"Whilst current national and local restrictions make the usual location for this activity inaccessible, we’re more than happy to use one of The Broadway’s beautiful trees to be adorned with stars for extra special people in the local community.
“The tree looks stunning and the stars are testament to the region as a whole - 2020 has had its challenges and we’ve pulled together as a community and supported one another through it."
