IT’S December, which means pubs and restaurants are starting to roll out their festive menus.

However, this Christmas will be different to previous years for the people in Bradford.

The current Tier 3 restrictions mean pubs, restaurants and other hospitality venues have to remain closed.

Many local venues are waiting until the December 16 when the current tier system will be reviewed.

Despite this, some are still taking bookings in the hope of being moved into Tier 2 later this month.

Other places are offering a Christmas dinner click and collect service, meaning you can enjoy a restaurant-quality dinner from the comfort of your own home.

Whether you are trying to make dinner plans for the big day itself or if you just fancy a festive roast on a random day in December, here are some of the best places in and around Bradford to order from.

The Six Acres, Westgate Hill Street, Tong

The Six Acres carvery has recently released their Christmas menu, and they are taking bookings for Christmas day.

On the menu are classic festive dishes, such as turkey crown and beef.

However, the company also sells some quirky alternative dishes such as lamb shanks and even lobster.

If you want to order a three course dinner for Christmas Day, it will cost £64.99 per adult, or £32.99 per child

This price also includes luxury crackers for you to pull.

In order to book, a non-refundable deposit of £15 per adult and £7.50 per child is required.

However, if the restaurant has to remain closed for Christmas Day, a spokesperson for the company said the dinners will be available for collection.

Download their Christmas menu and place your order while there are still some time slots available.

The Vaults Christmas Party menu has been released and it is jam-packed with delicious looking dishes.

Pigs in blankets, turkey roast dinner and Christmas pudding are just some traditional food items on the menu.

We might not be able to have parties right now, but Ilkley Moor Vaults also sell party food platters.

The Party Nibbles platter is £12.95 per person and comes with a selection of festive canape bites.

Included on the platter is: Pigs in blankets with triple mustard mayo, cranberry and apple stuffing balls, breaded mozzarella with cranberry jam, mini fish cakes with seaweed tartar, camembert and cranberry pizza bites, mini mince pie brownies and Baileys white chocolate dipping sauce.

If West Yorkshire is still in Tier 3 after lockdown, you may be able to order items from this menu for collection - ring ahead to discuss your options.

The company is also working on a finish-at-home takeaway to be collected on December 23 or 24 - they will be releasing the menu soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

Toby Carvery, Rooley Lane

The Christmas Day dinner at this Bradford Toby Carvery certainly looks like a feast.

You get a three course meal for £49.99.

It comes with five different meats and all the trimmings; baked fillet of salmon and spinach, cheddar and mushroom is also available.

Baked camembert and minted orange melon are some of the starter options, while Christmas pudding and a cheese platter are some of the puddings available.

Bookings for Christmas Day itself are limited, so make sure to book your slot quickly.

Failing that, there are still plenty of slots available for Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.

A spokesperson for Toby Carvery said they will be re-opening as soon as restrictions relax; however, if they cannot open on Christmas Day then all deposits will be refunded.
