Former teacher Tony Worrall who was prominent in both CAMRA and the Bradford Schools' Football Association, has died of a heart attack aged 59.
He began his Bradford teaching career at Feversham Street School in the 1970s but spent most of his time at Drummond Middle School.
Manchester City fan Mr Worrall, who switched to Rhodesway following the re-organisation of middle schools, taught PE before switching to maths.
A frequent traveller, he visited the Philippines annually for almost a decade and it was there he met his wife Joy.
Girlington-based Mr Worrall was a well-known face at CAMRA beer festivals, including those at Bradford and Keighley. Originally from Manchester, he became an administrator for the Bradford Schools' FA and once ran the Under-11 teams.
Fellow teacher Andy Mettas said: "Tony was a real character and wasn't afraid to have a laugh at his own expense. As for Manchester City, he ripped up his season ticket after they were relegated and never went again."
Mr Worrall's funeral takes place on Thursday at Nab Wood Crematorium at 2.40pm. There will be a wake afterwards at Haighy's Bar on Lumb Lane.
