SKIPTON High Street is to be featured on BBC Countryfile after presenter Tom Heap spent some time in the town today as he looked at the effects of lockdown.
One of the people he spoked to was Shipley artist Jenny Tribillon, a signwriter and window artist who hails from the South of France, and who has been commissioned by Skipton BID to transform some of the empty shop windows into painted winter scenes.
Tom chatted to her as she put finishing touches to a mural on the end of the former Edinburgh Woollen Mill store between the high street and Sheep Street.
He also chatted to staff at Jenson Samuel as they prepare to reopen the men's wear shop next week when this latest lockdown is lifted and we go into Tier 2 level of restrictions.
Jenny, who works under the name Froglet Art, said she was very pleased with the way the windows had turned out with many people telling her how they brightened up the high street.
The filming is due to be shown on the December 13 episode.
