A Bradford school at the heart of the district's £400 million Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme has taken its lead from one of the most iconic buildings constructed in recent years.
The new Tong High School, being rebuilt at Westgate Hill Street, will feature at its centre a large dome similar in style to those at Cornwall's Eden Project.
Yesterday, a "topping-out" ceremony took place at the new building, which is on track to open in September.
Head teacher Lyn O'Reilly said: "The students, staff and governors are now very excited about moving to the new school."
The redevelopment of Tong is part of Council's bid to rebuild or revamp every secondary school in the district.
