Ilkley's first charity Beer Festival will offer 50 real ales from breweries around the country together with a selection of foreign beers, ciders, and perry.

Food will be available throughout the event's three sessions with a brass band providing entertainment in the evenings and Saturday evenings.

The festival, organised by Ilkley and District Round Table, will be held at the Kings Hall on Friday, February 8, and Saturday, February 9. There will be three sessions: Friday from 5pm to 11pm and Saturday from 11am to 4pm and 5 to 11pm.

The festival has the support of Bradford Council and the Bradford branch of The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). Organisers hope it will become an annual event.

Stewart Ross, chairman of Ilkley and District Round Table, said: "We are aiming to raise approximately £20,000, which will be invested back into the local community."

Tickets cost £5, including a commemorative pint glass, programme and the first pint. They are available from Bar t'at in Ilkley, Junction in Otley, The Junction in Baildon, The Narrow Boat in Skipton and Coopers in Guiseley.
