A MAJOR Bradford company's plans to expand on a new site in the city have been approved by a planning committee.
Cleaning products company Astonish had recently revealed that it would be moving from its current Staithgate Lane site to the under construction Gain Lane Enterprise Zone.
A planning application to construct a large industrial and warehousing unit on the site went before members of Bradford Council's Regulatory and Appeals Committee this morning, where members unanimously approved the scheme.
The company has said the move would allow them to develop a “state of the art” manufacturing site and head office, with the move allowing them to take on an extra 20 staff.
£19m scheme to transform eyesore site into 'enterprise zone' is approved
The plans amounted to a £21 million investment in the city.
There had been no objections to the plans, and officers had recommended the scheme be approved.
Members said both the Council and the Environment Agency would monitor the development to make sure it did not impact on the nearby Fagley Beck.
Family run Astonish produces numerous different cleaning products, many of which are popular with online cleaning guru Mrs Hinch.
