WE haven't been able to get away from it - literally.
Fog has hung over the Bradford district since around Thursday last week, barely shifting all weekend and still looming over us this morning.
On Bonfire Night, combined with the barrage of fireworks overhead it felt almost apocalyptic, and like many of you must have been too, this weekend got us wondering.
Why is is so foggy, and why isn't the fog shifting?
Thankfully, experts at the Met Office are on hand to explain why the fog has failed to shift and when we can see it move on.
Grahame Madge, a Met Office spokesperson, said: “A relatively slack, moist southerly flow has resulted in rather murky conditions for the UK with fog and low cloud especially prevalent in some areas.
"This will remain in the forecast for a little while longer, however a change in the weather patterns in the Atlantic mid-week will herald an abrupt change to a repetitious pattern of weather fronts bringing unsettled, wet and windy conditions to most parts of the UK.
"In between these systems there will be brief interludes of calmer conditions."
Many keen members of the Telegraph & Argus Camera Club from across the district have made the most of the gloomy weather to capture these incredible shots from across the district.
