PRIMARY school pupils are behind a beautiful Remembrance Sunday display at Morrisons in Girlington.
Creative students from Iqra Academy, Whetley Academy, Crossley Hall, Girlington Primary and St Williams Primary created their own paper poppies and posters.
Lily Romani, the store's community champion, told the Telegraph & Argus: "The reasoning behind the idea was to get the community involved in a project, a project to make our customers smile and brighten up what has been quite a miserable and dark year.
"All Faith's have been on board and we have had amazing feedback from our customers, they have said it's really brightened up their day.
"Initially the plan was for myself and other staff members to fundraise for the Royal British Legion (RBL) as we didn't think they would be allowed to fundraise due to Covid restrictions but at the last minute we were given the go ahead to allow them to fundraise in store.
"Mike Herbert from RBL helped and said it's absolutely wonderful that the children have made such beautiful poppies."
