TWO youths have charged with a number of offences following an incident on Barkerend Road last night.
Police officers attended an incident tonight where youths were throwing fireworks on Barkerend Road.
When officers arrived a male threw a firework at officers before making off. The 14-year-old was detained a short distance away and was in possession of the two fireworks.
He was arrested and charged with fireworks offences.
While dealing with the male for fireworks, one of his associates threw a brick at the police car, causing damage to the rear.
He has also made off on foot before being detained on Curzon Road.
This male, also 14, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and public order.
The male was searched and found to be in possession of the kitchen knife.
He was charged with possession of an offensive weapon, criminal damage to motor vehicle and public order offences.
Both will be attending court in the near future.
