INVESTIGATIONS are under way following a stabbing incident on Sunbridge Road in Bradford last night.
At around 8pm, police received reports that a 41-year-old man had sustained multiple injuries and that a number of suspects were involved.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is currently in a serious but stable condition.
Acting detective sergeant Courtenay Goldsborough of Bradford CID said: “We believe a number of men wearing black hooded tops and masks were involved in this incident and made away on foot along Sunbridge Road.
“CCTV enquires are ongoing in the local area and a scene is in place.
“We are operating on the theory that this was a targeted attack and isolated to the individuals involved.
“While I understand that people will be naturally shocked by what has occurred, our officers will be in the area providing additional support and visible reassurance.
“I would ask that anyone who has not already come forward and has witnessed this incident or has information, to get in touch immediately.
“This type of activity will in no way be tolerated on our streets and we are doing everything we can to identify those responsible.
