THE number of Covid-19 deaths in Bradford district hospitals has passed the 400 mark today, as three more deaths have been reported by the NHS.

Two deaths were reported at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with one at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, taking the total number of Covid-19 hospital deaths to 401.

The total number of deaths at Bradford Teaching Hospitals now stands at 281, with Airedale seeing 118, and Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust's total remaining at two.

Nationally, 131 more Covid-19 deaths were reported today, taking the total number of fatalities to 31,558. 

Patients who have died were aged between 45 and 99-years-old, and all but two - who were aged 77 and 91 - had known underlying health conditions.

Yorkshire and the North East saw 30 of these deaths, the second highest number behind 47 in the North West.

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust reported two new deaths today, taking the total figure there to 191.

Leeeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust saw no new deaths today and the total figure there remains at 376, as did Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, where the total remains 359.
