By making sure that your car tyres are inflated properly you can reduce your fuel bills. For every 0.5 bars (seven psi) a tyre is under-inflated and fuel consumption can rise by five per cent. To improve the fuel consumption further, also try and keep your car as lights as possible by not carrying unnecessary bits and pieces in your boot and, instead of filling the tank completely, only put in half a tank of fuel at a time.
