A seven-year-old boy has landed a three-year modelling contract - after his catwalk debut was featured in the Telegraph & Argus.

Joe Judson has been awarded a coveted place with Manchester-based Eurokids, after agency bosses were impressed by pictures of the Crossflatts Primary School pupil strutting his stuff at the Lord Mayor of Bradford's Appeal fashion show.

Despite his tender age, Joe expertly modelled a stunning salwar kamis from Bradford boutique East Meets West during the charity event - held at Bradford's Hilton Hotel.

Dressed to the nines in the T&A, Joe's liking for the limelight was clear to see.

Proud mum Trudy Jackson, of Bingley, said: "He had not done anything before the Lord Mayor's Appeal Show. He absolutely loved it.

"When a camera appeared it was like a homing beacon! He loved having his hair gelled and wearing the clothes. He has his hair gelled every day now."

Bosses at Eurokids invited Joe and his mum to travel to Manchester to take part in a test shoot and signed him up for a three-year stint on the spot after seeing pictures of the youngster's catwalk performance.

"I am absolutely ecstatic," said Trudy. "If he didn't want to do it that would be absolutely fine but it is amazing how well he has taken to it after just one show."

Joe said he was excited about the opportunities he hoped would come from the contract.

He said: "I am excited about it - it will be fun. I enjoy putting gel in my hair! My friends all know about the modelling contract and are excited about it too."

Beverly Ford, extended schools project manager at Crossflatts Primary, selected Joe to take part in the Lord Mayor's Appeal fashion show.

She said: "I am really proud of how well he has done. He is a lovely boy and I am sure he will do very well."

Maria Lawrence, senior model booker with Eurokids, said Joe could potentially gain modelling work or move into the TV and film world.

She said: "We have high hopes for Joe but it is early days yet. We are looking forward to working with him."
