Messages of concern and support have been posted on the internet after Bradford poet and author Joolz Denby and a member of up-and-coming band New York Alcoholic Anxiety Attack (NYAAA) were involved in a car crash.
Miss Denby, below, and NYAAA frontman Mik Davis were en-route to a concert in Wales when the vehicle in which they were travelling was in a collision with a car on the M1 near Sheffield at the weekend.
Neither was seriously injured in the crash but the car in which they were travelling was written off.
The pair had been due to play a joint concert at top Swansea venue The Monkey Bar Café. The event has been rescheduled as a result of the accident.
Mr Davis said: "It was a big shock, but more than anything, we're sorry to disappoint our Welsh following - but we'll definitely do the trip again in 2008.
Miss Denby said: "Thanks to Mik's skill as a driver we were OK - and I'm very sorry not to have gigged in my literary hero Dylan Thomas's home city of Swansea again, but I'll definitely be there in 2008 with the band."
