Stanningley-based Zenith Vehicle Contracts has been officially certified as carbon neutral.
The company engaged consultants from Carbon Footprint Ltd to calculate its CO2 footprint and recommend ways this could be offset. As a result, Zenith has initiated a tree-planting programme in Yorkshire.
Chief executive Andrew Cope said: "As a board, we are committed to further reductions of our carbon footprint and our target is to cut emissions by 30 per cent per person over the next three years."
Mr Cope said Zenith was working closely with customers to help them create environmentally-sound fleet policies.
Zenith Vehicle Contracts Ltd is the UK's largest independent provider of fleet funding and management services for company and employee-owned business-use vehicles.
It currently manages a fleet of more than 18,500 vehicles and includes organisations such as DuPont (UK) and Asda amongst its clients.
