The spirit of Christmas was brought to life for families who visited Shipley town centre yesterday, with a host of festive events.
Three Wise Men bearing gifts from the East joined revellers in the Market Square as part of An Encounter with the Christmas Story - a festive event recounting the nativity.
Sarah Wilson Fleming, owner of Interlude, an art deco-themed cafe in Westgate, said: "We had some lovely singers. There were about ten in all and they brought their own little piano and sang beautiful Christmas carols to get everyone in the Christmas spirit."
Excited children also got to meet Father Christmas during the first Santa Boat excursion along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.
Half-hour excursions will also be held on the next two Saturdays. To reserve a place call 0845 241 5497. Tickets cost £3 for adults and £2 for children.
