One of the teenagers who hacked a factory supervisor to death with a sword “revelled” in what he did in rap lyrics he wrote about the killing.

Leeds Crown Court heard that Luke Gaukroger, who was 15 at the time of the murder, was found with sheets of papers in his cell at the young offenders’ institution where he was held on remand.

The judge, Mr Justice Lavender, told Gaukroger the lyrics showed he “revelled in what you did in January”.

One of the raps, found in May, said: “The last sound he made is a croak I heard him struggling for his last breath when he gave up said wag warn to death I was still stabbing up the guys chest laughing cos my knife work the best Sammy made the don hit the deck no cap man was chopping at his neck us man almost detached his head.

Can only imagine how much he bleed over 100 wounds up his body that’s what fed told me n my Donny.

OML I’m spitting the truth I don’t tell no lies in the booth.”

More lyrics found in his cell said: “Big man tried beefin so we had to kill it we was wetting my man up for like 10 whole minute cheffin him and fed turn up so we had to run yh we tried to toe but we got nicked on the scene w a bag full of chco pepper spray and tazer twice for Ky F*** the popo.”

Another sheet with the title “No remorse” said: “Sitting in the dock tryna show remorse but I don’t feel it an I cant even talk can’t chat to the judge like I’m sorry I was too f***** didn’t mean to catch a body.

In all honesty I wouldn’t mean it tho fake apology just to be at home it wouldn’t work tho coh I killed a guy with a big long Sammy not a kitchen knife.”

Paul Greaney QC, defending Gaukroger, said the lyrics should be seen as “an immature way of working through his true feelings”.
