HAVE you spotted Postman Pat while you've been out and about?
This has been putting a smile on people's faces on its travels around Heckmondwike - even stopping at the McDonalds drive-thru and taking a trip around Morrisons.
It's the creation of Alton Tyrell, 40, originally from Bradford, who decided to jazz up a cheap scooter with a Postman Pat coin machine he spotted on eBay to put a smile on people's faces after the difficulty of the Covid-19 lockdown.
He said: "You only live once so do what makes you happy. I had a few friends help out with the woodwork and welding and after I hand sprayed it myself I dropped it off at my friend's printers for the finishing touches Royal Mail sign at PRS Yorkshire Ltd.
"It's been a great little project and kept the family and neighbours entertained."
Alton said the response has been "crazy" on social media, with people saying they've spotted him out and about.
On one video, someone can be heard shouting 'where's Jess?!' - a nod to Postman Pat's trusty feline sidekick.
