A NUMBER of bars in Bradford’s Top of Town area have applied to install outside seating.
Last month Bradford Council announced that businesses such as bars, cafes and restaurants were able to apply for licenses to expand onto pavements to allow better social distancing.
The latest set of licence applications could see more al fresco seating in the North parade area.
Plonk Bar on North Parade has applied for three tables and 12 chairs to be placed on the frontage of the premises.
Crafted Bradford bar opens today in North Parade
Crafted, a new bar which opened on Friday in the former Beer House unit applied for six single tables with two chairs per table located outside the venue to allow the venue to serve food and drink outside.
Peacock Bar, another North parade venue, has applied for a licence to install four benches to the rear with barriers and parasols and four chairs to the front with barriers.
The Government introduced new licensing rules to allow businesses to thrive wile still being able to impose two metre distancing. In some cities entire streets have been closed to traffic to allow outside dining.
