BRADFORD Council has moved to quash fake news stories circulating on social media about the procedure if a child is unwell with Covid-19 symptoms at school.
The Council said this afternoon: "We are aware of some false stories circulating on social media about procedures in school if a child is unwell with Covid-19 symptoms.
"These are not true. If a child is unwell, schools will ask parents to collect them."
In a video, Shaqib Juneja, from Education and Learning at Bradford Council, says: "We can assure you that children will not be removed from families just for displaying symptoms of coronavirus.
"If your child becomes unwell whilst they're at school, staff will follow Government and local guidance to isolate your child with a member of staff looking after them.
"In this case, parents will be contacted and asked to collect their child from school and will be advised to take their child for a test."
