EMERGENCY roadworks are being undertaken to fix a water main burst is affecting hundreds of properties in the Mirfield area this morning.
Yorkshire Water said that the incident was in Dunbottle Lane.
It said its teams are putting a road closure in place so that repairs can be carried out on the burst.
"Please be aware of traffic delays due to this!
"We are working on a very large burst this morning which is causing a number of properties to be without water.
"Thank you for your patience in this time and further updates to follow."
Arriva buses said that its Service 202 will not be serving Dunbottle Lane and Old Bank Road because of the emergency roadworks.
This service is being diverted via Huddersfield Road as 203 service to Mirfield Fire Station then to Knowl Road to Saville Arms in both directions.
