PLANS to build homes on a Green Belt site in Nab Wood have been refused by Bradford Council.
A recently submitted planning application called for an area of land behind 58 - 78 Nab Wood Drive developed, with four new homes created.
The application attracted a huge amount of interest, with 127 people writing to the Council to object to the plans and 83 writing in support of them.
However, earlier this month Bradford Council refused the application, which had been submitted by Amjad Sadiq.

Planning officers said there was no justification for the homes being built on Green belt land. Their report said: βIt would harm the openness of the Green Belt and present clear conflict with its purposes, including to check the unrestricted sprawl of large built up areas and assisting in safeguarding the countryside from encroachment.β
They also raised concerns about poor access, the impact on a number of trees and potential blocking of a public footpath.
