QUEUES are building at McDonald's Drive-Thrus across Bradford and the district, but one store has its system locked down.
McDonald's completed its phased reopening of all its 924 Drive-Thrus across the UK today and it included six store lanes in Bradford.
Things got a little chaotic at the Keighley restaurant yesterday, which was the first one to reopen in the whole of the Bradford district.
Traffic is starting to build at the McDonald's Drive-Thrus, which opened at 11am, but the Rooley Lane store is coping well, according to one motorist passing by.
There were around a dozen cars queueing to get into the car park when they passed.
The motorist said: "It a very organised one-way queuing system at Rooley Lane.
"You can get in off main road, you’ve just got to turn round to join back of queue."
This means traffic is not backing out onto the very busy Rooley Lane and is instead building down Parkway, away from the main road.
The motorist added: "There’s two members of staff directing cars.
"They said the queue was only taking about 10 mins as well."
Another member of the public said it wasn't "too busy" at the Bradford Forster Square or Keighley McDonald's, at around 1.49pm.
They spoke to someone in the queue at Bradford Forster Square who told them they had been waiting for for roughly 20 minutes.
The member of the public added: "A British land steward said it was busy for about 10 minutes, but there's not a big queue now.
"Stewards at Forster Square are directing people into the McDonald’s queue or to the shopping car park.
"Queues for Home Bargains were much longer."
It seems such calm is not present at all the McDonald's Drive-Thrus across the Bradford district though.
One person posted a comment on a post, on a Facebook community page, suggesting there are traffic problems around the McDonald's in Heckmondwike.
They said police are having to direct traffic on Albion Street.
