ACCORDING to Google Trends, online searches for 'BBQ' rose by a whopping 203 per cent in the last month.
As the public prepares for more bank holidays stuck at home, those lucky enough to have a garden are likely to fire up the charcoal and enjoy the sun from their gardens.
In any BBQ, or barbecue in old money, the music plays a key role in creating the ultimate atmosphere.
To find out what the most popular soundtrack to any BBQ is, Cleveland Containers looked at Spotify data, analysing more than 280 playlists with the words 'BBQ' and '2020' in them.
We then dug deeper into the more than 23,000 songs to tot up the most popular songs and artists by seeing which were included the most.
Most Popular BBQ Songs in 2020
The data reveals that the most popular track for BBQ's this year is also one of the most played tracks of the year - 'Blinding Lights' by The Weeknd, with this song being featured in 54 of the playlists.
Next on the lists of songs people are chilling to is 2017 tune 'One Kiss' by Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa and 'Dance Monkey' by Tones and I.
But some that made it are more than 20 years old, with classic summer tunes such as Three Little Birds by Bob Marley and the Wailers, and Summertime by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince also made the top 10.
