A planning application to turn the old Betfred on Kirkgate, inthe centre of the town, into a restaurant has been submitted to Bradford Council.
A decision on the proposal is due due next month.

The application, by Mr Hilton, says: "The proposed restaurant represents the potential long-term commitment of the applicant and his incoming tenant to invest and bring the vacant unit back into a viable use.
"The proposed use is not considered detrimental to the existing services and amenities on Kirkgate but shall strengthen the town centre’s vitality by adding variety."
