A NEW supermarket will open its doors next week after it was delayed during the coronavirus pandemic.
Aldi will open its store in New Bolton Woods on Thursday, April 30 at 8am, which will be seven days after it was initially due to open.
The Canal Road store will be open Monday to Saturday 8am to 10pm and on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “We will be opening the doors to the new Aldi store in New Bolton Woods on Thursday 30th April.
“The store on Canal Road will give the local community access to everyday essentials during this challenging time.’ “We look forward to meeting new customers and providing them with Aldi’s everyday amazing products.”
Standing at 1,254 sqm of retail space, the Canal Road store will replace the existing Aldi store on Valley Road and will be run by Store Manager, Danny Futerko.
New Bolton Woods is a £150 million new development between Shipley and Bradford that will include over 1,100 houses as well as shops, schools and sports facilities.
A Costa opened last year, and there is another shop unit next to the soon to open Aldi.
The new store, which is part of Aldi’s investment in local communities across the UK, will bring a number of job opportunities to the area and offer more customers access to Aldi’s high quality, low-price products. The retailer aims to have 1,200 stores by 2025 and is committed to further improving its existing stores for customers across the country.
