ONCE Boris Johnson is back to full health, maybe he will pay his first visit to Bradford as Prime Minister.
Here are a few times some of his predecessors in the nation's top job have stopped by Bradford.
MARGARET THATCHER
Mrs Thatcher became part of the Bradford City squad when she took part in a team group photo at Valley Parade on February 21, 1987.
She joined the likes of squad members Stuart McCall and Ian Ormondroyd for the photo and she even posed in the stands wearing a yellow Bantams scarf.
Mrs Thatcher, who would win a third election later that year, had also visited City's home ground just days after the fire on May 11, 1985 which claimed 56 lives.
She also visited Bradford in 1978, a year before her election victory.
TONY BLAIR
There was also a sporting connection when one of her successors, Tony Blair, paid a visit to the district.
The Labour party was in town down by the river in April 2005 at the Bradford Rowing Club in Baildon.
Here, Prime Minister Tony Blair, Chancellor Gordon Brown and Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott met supporters. The Prime Minister returned to the district just before the 2001 General Election.
Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus aboard his election battle bus, he said he was concerned about the disturbances that occurred in Lidget Green on Easter Sunday that year.
"We need to make sure there are good race relations," he said as the bus took the PM away from a flying visit to Shipley.
"But I don't think we should get carried away - what happened was totally wrong and unacceptable but I think the way the community has reacted is right and it's important for people to pull together.
"We're strongly committed to a multi-cultural society and I think the vast majority of people in Bradford want to live in peace with one another whatever their race or background.''
Mr Blair also visited the city in 1993, four years before he became Prime Minister for the first time.
GORDON BROWN
Mr Brown made two trips to Bradford in nine days in 2010, just before he lost the 2010 General Election.
He paid a visit on the last day of his election campaign to the University of Bradford on May 28, 2010.
Nine days earlier he helped unveil a memorial in Bradford to PC Sharon Beshenivsky, who was fatally shot when responding to a robbery at Universal Travel in Morley Street, Bradford in November 2005.
Film director Michael Winner also appeared at the ceremony.
DAVID CAMERON
Mr Cameron visited the district during the campaign trail for the 2015 General Election.
Speaking on a visit to Addingham today, the PM said voters in places like Bradford and Keighley could hold the sway of power.
He also confirmed the Conservatives would continue to push for struggling schools in Bradford to become academies.
Then Keighley MP Kris Hopkins was also backed for election success by his party's leader.
Mr Cameron said: "Kris Hopkins has been a very hard working MP, he’s delivered a huge amount to the people of Keighley."
"West Yorkshire could play the decisive role in determining if we keep going with the plan, or if we put it all at risk with Ed Milliband backed by the SNP."
He also praised Yorkshire for how it handled last year’s Tour De France and the previous weekend’s Tour de Yorkshire.
THERESA MAY
Years before her spell in the top job, Theresa May came to Bradford.
She visited the city on September 11, 2003, stopping by at the Dubrovnik Hotel.
