A LARGE shop at a Bradford retail park could soon be used as a leisure attraction.
Unit 4 at the Enterprise 5 Retail Park used to be a Wickes - but that business left the site several years ago.
Now a planning application has been submitted to change the use of the 3,250 square metre unit from retail to assembly and leisure.
The Retail Park at Five Lane Ends is anchored by a Morrisons, and other than a gym all the other units are shops.
‘Ninja warrior’ plan for Broadway Shopping Centre is approved
A planning application submitted to Bradford Council by NewRiver REIT (UK) Ltd says the application to change the use of the building is "in response to operator interest" - although it gives no details of possible future tenants.
Assembly and leisure use would allow businesses such as bowling alleys, gyms or cinemas to open in the unit.
The application says: "The proposal will support the continued vitality and viability of the established district centre, facilitating the occupation of a longstanding vacant unit in response to operator interest for an assembly and leisure use."
