A DRESS shop on Leeds Road can be converted into a bakery after new plans were approved by Bradford Council.
Earlier this year Abdullah Jabbar Akhtar submitted an application to turn the store, on the junction with Mortimer Row, into an Asian themed bakery selling sweets on site.
Planning officers said: “The description of the use and the floor space would suggest that the operation is going to be relatively small scale and only a small amount of baking will be done in site.

“The primary function would therefore be the sale of the products with the baking being seen as incidental to the main use.
“This being the case the use class of the proposed bakery would be seen to remain within the retail use.”
