A DEMENTIA care worker has invited the public to bring a smile its residents faces by sending letters, pictures or poems by post.
Springfield Care Home in Bradford has closed to visitors in a bid to protect the vulnerable from covid-19.
Whether you're a child or love to write, the home's Shannon Palmer wants to hear from you.
All post should be sent direct to Shannon Palmer, Springfield Care Home,Western Way, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD6 2UB.
One resident, Joan, was overjoyed to receive a letter complete with photos of cute animals.
"She loved it, look at the smile. The pictures of the animals were her favourite," the carer said.
She told the Telegraph & Argus: "It's going to help the elderly in isolation and also bring a bit of joy and happiness to our residents faces. Time to stick together as a community and spread the joy.
"Please think to send something to the elderly who are isolated at home. A quick letter would make their day."
