I LOVE the story about the woman paid £20 to save a lamb from slaughter - and ended up bringing it home as a pet.
Her daughter Sophie Galustian, from Manchester, took to Twitter and penned: ‘So my mum bought a lamb for £20 so it doesn’t get killed tomorrow and is planning to keep her in the garden with the dogs? Honestly, wish I could say I’m surprised but it’s very her.’
Good on her. I don’t know how she came across the eight-day-old lamb, but, in a similar situation I could see myself doing exactly the same thing.
I don’t know what my cats would have to say about it though. They wouldn’t take kindly to a lamb frolicking on the sofa.
And you have to remember that lambs turn into hulking great sheep...
