PARENTS still have some early-year homework to do on their child's primary school places.

The deadline for online applications for primary school places, via the Bradford Council website, is Wednesday, January 15. The applications are for children born between September 1, 2015 and August 31, 2016.

Parents should have received information about making an application for reception from their child’s current nursery/through the post in mid-November. They have been asked to give their top five preferred choices for primary schools to send their children.

Any online applications can be viewed and amended until next Wednesday's deadline.

You will be able to view as well as amend your online application any time until the closing date of the admissions round. A receipt of the completed application will be sent through an email.

Only one application may be submitted for each child.

Only complete an online application if you are a Bradford resident.

Parents who have applied online to Bradford Council for a primary school place will find out on April 16 which school their child will join in September. This will be sent via email.

If parents have missed the relevant deadline, you will be unable to apply online. Call the admissions team on 01274 439200 for a paper application form if the deadline has now passed.
