A CENTENARIAN and avid bingo player has credited the game with helping her live a long life.
Eunice Greenwood plays at Buzz Bingo (formerly Gala) in Keighley every Sunday - a tradition she has kept going since 1974.
Experts have suggested that the social element of bingo can help reduce dementia due to engaging the mind and building up 'brain power'.
To celebrate Eunice's 100th birthday, Buzz Bingo put on a special party for her last night.
There was a hairstylist on hand, a limousine to chauffeur her in style, plus a red carpet entrance.
Eunice said: “Bingo means everything to me - I’ve been visiting Buzz Bingo Keighley with my daughter every Sunday since the ’70s and couldn’t have celebrated my 100th birthday anywhere better.”
Peter Sandford, from Buzz Bingo in Keighley, added: "As General Manager I love seeing my loyal customers celebrating special moments with us.
"Eunice is an avid bingo player who I look forward to chatting to every Sunday.
"Bingo is all about togetherness and community and putting on events like this allows us to bring people together to celebrate significant milestones with friends they’ve met through a shared love of bingo."
