POLICE are probing a reported raid on the former Yorkshire Bank building in Batley.

Forensics officers are at the scene on Wellington Street in the town.

The duty officer for West Yorkshire Police said he could not comment on the incident as it was ongoing.

Armed police were reported to be on the scene and a steel door on the former bank building had been opened.

Arriva Yorkshire tweeted that its service 212 was operating normally again after being unable to serve Batley town centre towards Wakefield due to the police incident.
