An impressive picture of an eagle owl in flight has swooped in to scoop top prize in the Telegraph & Argus Picture of the Year competition.

We asked members of the T&A Camera Club to nominate their three favourite pictures they've taken during the year by posting them in the club Facebook group.

Fellow members then voted for their favourites. Birds, landscapes and trains proved among the most popular subjects in the list of stunning pictures showing off a wealth of local photographic talent.
