A “THIRD strike” housebreaker was imprisoned for 876 days at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.
Dean Lumb, 46, was sentenced on a video link to Leeds Prison to three years behind bars minus credit for his guilty plea.
Lumb (pictured), of Powell Street, Halifax, entered an address in Clare Hall Apartments in Prescott Street in the town and stole a laptop computer, an Apple IPOD touch and car keys. Prosecutor Paul Nicholson said that Lumb had 26 previous convictions for 67 offences, including theft and house burglary.
He removed a window to burgle the apartment on November 20, causing £300 damage.
The court heard that Lumb was a former heroin addict who needed money to feed his horses.
