POLICE are appealing for information after an attempted robbery at a travel agents involving a knife and handgun.

The incident happened between 6pm and 6:30pm on Friday, December 6, at Worldwide Experience in Leeds Old Road, near Thornbury.

Two males, who were wearing masks and had a knife and black handgun, entered the building as the shutters were down.

They demanded money from the victim and there was a brief altercation.

The two males left the building without any money. 

They then headed down Thornbury Avenue.

The victim suffered a minor injury.
