A MALE was left "spitting blood" after violence erupted in the city centre today.
It is believed three individuals were in an altercation with a 19-year-old male in the early afternoon.
Police were called to reports of an assault in the Bank Street area at around 12:18pm.
A witness, who called police, described how the fight broke out on the stairs heading up towards the exchange, near Bradford Crown Court.
She said the whole group seemed to be college-aged students, with three of them rounding on the one victim.
The injured male was "spitting up blood" after the attack, the witness said.
She added: "He told me they'd punched him in the privates.
"They ragged him about.
"There was a group walking up Drake Street, talking and shouting, and I didn't think anything of it.
"But then it kicked off.
"Luckily I was here, otherwise God knows what they would've done."
Police arrived after the attack and parked up on Drake Street.
The victim could be seen entering the vehicle to give a statement.
After, the injured male was taken to hospital to be assessed.
